SUMMARY:Webinar: Road Markings for Motorcyclists’ Safety
DESCRIPTION:How targeted road markings can prevent motorcycle crashes\n\nMotorcycle riders are taught in riding school that road markings are slippery. Although this is not true\, this belief is sufficient to influence rider behaviour. Motorcycle riders tend to cut curves\, which is particularly dangerous in curves with poor forward visibility. Hence\, placing road markings where riders should not go\, e.g. close to the centre line in a tight left-hand curve could keep riders away from oncoming traffic. And it does work! Several studies proved the concept.
