Sport Safety Conference

In the year 1998, the Swiss Accident Prevention Advisory Centre (APAC), the KfV and the German Consortium for Safety in Sports (CSS) established a platform for discussing the theory and practice of accident prevention in sports. To date, four tri-national conferences have been held: in the years 2000 in Munich (Germany), 2002 in Vienna (Austria), 2004 in Magglingen (Switzerland) and 2006 in Bochum (Germany).

The 5th Tri-National Conference: Forum for Information and Discussion
The 5th tri-national conference of the leading German-speaking organisations in the area of research and prevention of sports accidents will be held from September 3rd to 5th, 2009 in Magglingen, Switzerland.

The main goals of this international platform of top-notch experts from Germany, Austria and Switzerland are to exchange scientific information and develop strategies and measures in the area of sports accident prevention. The most recent discoveries, methods and programmes in sports accident prevention are presented in plenary events and workshops. The experts and all others interested in sports accident prevention find a broad forum for exchanging information and opinions.

The conference programme is particularly directed at sports instructors, trainers, key sports policy-makers and organisations as well as experts from the sports science, sports medicine and accident prevention.
